In my opinion the lecture on eye diseases held by Ahmad Salti was absolutely worthwhile. I was surprised how well I was able to follow it even though I didn’t understand every detail. Especially for students who are thinking of studying science or doing research in the future Prof. Salti’s presentation was particularly interesting.
I think it was great to learn about all the new methods of possibly curing blindness, and it’s great to know what important role the universities of Austria play in this kind of science.
I enjoyed the presentation about eye diseases because I’m interested in both, biology and English. However, sometimes it was rather hard to follow due to the high level of English. All in all, it was an informative presentation, and I definitely learned new things.
I liked that he also talked about his life and how he became a scientist. It was interesting to find out how many different languages he speaks and how many different countries he’s been to.

The information in the presentation was easy to follow, and it was on an interesting topic. Being able to bring back someone’s vision is a very difficult process, and it’s interesting to see the many ideas they have to complete this challenge.
The presentation was very informative. And even though I didn’t understand everything, it was still very interesting. I was also impressed by Ahmad Salti and his journey to being a researcher in Linz. It was interesting to know how much work you have to put in to become as knowledgeable as him.
I found it interesting that he is from Lebanon, as it is a rather unusual country to produce many scientists.
